ABOUT OUR PASTOR
Dr. David Lowrie
Dr. David Lowrie Jr. has more than thirty-seven years of pastoral experience, having served churches in the Dallas area, Wisconsin, Canyon and most recently El Paso. He is the past President of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and is serving his second term on the Board of Trustees at Howard Payne University. He holds a B.A. from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. David and his wife Robyn been married for 34 years.
In addition to an active ministry partnership with David, including counseling and teaching Discipleship classes, Robyn is a university educator in English, ESL and Applied French language. David and Robyn's family includes four daughters, Kalie, Lorin, Jamie and Madison, two sons- in-law Dr. Phillip Scott and Jordan Villanueva, and four grandchildren, George Walker, Margot Rose, Jack Edward and David Lee.
David is an avid marathon runner, and enjoys playing golf, reading a wide variety of literature and nonfiction, International history and travel, and study dates at Starbucks with Robyn.
