Baptism Sunday
Jesus commanded all his followers to be baptized by immersion as a public rite of passage. FBD practices believers' baptism. We hold the second Sunday of each month for Baptism Sunday.
Want to get baptized? There's still time to sign up. It's the perfect opportunity to publicly show you've been raised to new life with Jesus! Connect with us to learn more!

Falls Creek Retreat
The North Texas Easter Retreat exists to bring teens closer to Jesus Christ. It's a great way for your teens to hear the Gospel, grow closer to Jesus, and be invested in it!
The retreat is held each year at the Falls Creek Conference Center in Davis, OK, on Easter weekend. We begin on Thursday night and continue through lunchtime on Saturday to give you time to return home to celebrate Resurrection Sunday with your church family.
Throughout the retreat, your teens will worship with an additional 1,000+ teenagers from churches all over North Texas. They will hear sermons from the Bible that challenge and encourage them in their everyday walk. On Friday afternoon, they can participate in our recreation activities, which include a zip line, ropes course, and individual and team sports (flag football, volleyball, 1-mile fun run, softball, and basketball shoot-out, to name a few). They can also swim in a natural spring pool and check out the famous Falls Creek Gum Tree.

Good Friday
Join us for a Good Friday Service on April 18 at 6 PM as we reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus. The service will include worship, scripture, and the Lord’s Supper, guiding us to remember His love and grace.

Child Dedication
First Baptist Decatur believes children are a gift from God. We are excited you are interested in dedicating your child. The purpose of child dedication is to present your child before God and the church, commit to seeking God’s wisdom as you carry out your responsibilities, raising your child for His purpose with love and grace.
We believe Psalm 127:3, which says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord.” Children are God’s gift and blessing; child dedication is a time to celebrate and thank God for your gift. You are committing to modeling what following Jesus looks like, to raise your child to understand salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of being in a community of faith through the local church.
