FBD quarterly business meetings allow our congregation to come together and learn about important decisions about the church’s ministries, finances, and operations.

It ensures transparency and gives members the opportunity to stay informed and involved in the life of the church.

In a Special Called Business Meeting following morning worship on July 13, present church members may vote on TAC (Temporary Administrative Council) members. The purpose of this committee is to help the ministerial staff in the absence of a Pastor. They will be joined with the chairs of the following: Personnel Committee, Budget and Finance Committees, and Deacons.

Join us for a fun-filled Church Family Picnic right after morning worship on Sunday, July 6! We’ll gather in Family Life Center (gym) for a delicious lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the classic fixings. It’s the perfect way to enjoy good food, fellowship, and a relaxed afternoon with your church family. 

All family members planning to attend must register by July 2 so we can prepare enough food for everyone.

In a Special Called Business Meeting on Sunday, June 29 present church members may nominate up to two church members to serve on the Temporary Administrative Council (TAC). The purpose of this committee is to help the ministerial staff in the absence of a Pastor. In a Special Called Business Meeting following morning worship on June 22, present church members may vote on Pastor Search Committee. Church members may vote for up to five nominees and two alternates.

The purpose of child dedication is to present your child before God and the church, commit to seeking God’s wisdom as you carry out your responsibilities, raising your child for His purpose with love and grace.

We believe Psalm 127:3, which says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord.” Children are God’s gift and blessing; child dedication is a time to celebrate and thank God for your gift. You are committing to modeling what following Jesus looks like, to raise your child to understand salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of being in a community of faith through the local church.

Join us on Thursday, June 12 at 11:30 AM for a fun lunch out with friends at Dovini Italian Bar & Grill in Bridgeport! This is a great chance to relax, connect, and enjoy a delicious meal together.

All family members are invited to join us on the final night of VBS to see what the kids have been learning throughout the week! We’ll celebrate with bounce houses, hot dogs, and fun for the whole family — all completely free. Don’t miss this special evening of connection and celebration!

 Join one of the two First Baptist Softball teams!

All games will be on Thursday nights in June, with the championship round-robin tournament on June 26. All of our games will be at Renshaw Park. 

We will have 1 scrimmage with the two FBD Teams on May 29 at 7 PM (location TBD).

The fee is $15 per player, which covers the team shirt.
