An update from our Search Committee (June 2026)

The Children’s Minister Search Committee is pleased to announce that the job opening for our Children’s Minister position has been officially posted. Listings have been shared with the Southern Baptist Convention, Texas Baptist, Harvest Baptist Association, East Texas Baptist, Southwestern Seminary, Truett Seminary, and other seminaries and Baptist colleges. We will take a few weeks to allow resumes to be obtained, and as we begin the process of reviewing these applicants, we ask for your continued prayers as we seek God’s guidance and wisdom in selecting our next Children’s Minister.

Ongoing prayer

  • Pray for Our Children’s Ministry:
    Ask God to keep our Children’s Ministry unified, strong, and focused on raising Christ-centered children during this season. Pray that our church family, as a whole, remains faithful in ministry, evangelism, and service as we wait on the Lord’s timing.

    Pray for the Children’s Minister Search Committee:
    Pray for wisdom, unity, and discernment as they seek the person God is calling to lead our children’s ministry. Ask for protection from discouragement or criticism, and for clarity in every decision.

    Pray for Our Next Children’s Minister and His or Her Family:
    Though we don’t yet know them, God does. Pray for their preparation, peace, and boldness to follow God’s call. Ask for protection over their marriage and family as they prepare to join our church and community.

  • The Children’s Minister Search Committee is a group of church members prayerfully selected to seek, evaluate, and recommend a candidate to serve as the next pastor of the church.
    The committee consists of the following:
