To help steward and oversee the installation of a comprehensive audio, video, lighting, and staging project in the worship center of FBC Decatur, looking to the future while honoring the past.

 PROJECT OVERVIEW

  • Current Situation

    • System and speakers are original (installed in 2001).

    • Soundboard is over 15 years old.

    • Speakers have been repaired at a cost of $34,000 in 2021, but are now failing again.

    • Lack of acoustic treatment causes echo and poor clarity.

    • Industry standard is replacing speakers every 10-15 years, and replacing soundboard every 7-10 years.

    Proposed Solution

    • Install a custom-designed PA system tailored for the sanctuary.

    • Add acoustic treatment to enhance clarity and ensure every word of the Gospel is heard clearly.

  • Current Situation

    • Projector screens are deteriorating and original to the building.

    • Projectors no longer produce clear, bright images.

    • Projectors were bought used and discontinued in 2019

    • House lighting flickers, fails, and uses inefficient components from the original installation.

    Proposed Solution

    • Replace projector screens with LED walls for clear display of lyrics, scripture, and live moments.

    • Upgrade lighting to even, efficient fixtures for consistent brightness and reliability.

  • Current Situation

    • Carpet, pews, and paint original to 2001

    • Worn, stained, and damaged surfaces

    • Upcoming A/V work will further damage flooring

    • Foyer and seating areas show visible wear and feel disconnected from worship space

    • AVL Install schedule will take an additional 3-4 weeks and $100,000 if pews are not removed from the room

    Proposed Solution

    • New hybrid pew and seat system

    • Replace carpet, refresh finishes, and update foyer for visual continuity

    • Add a dedicated Family & Baby Wing for comfortable viewing while caring for children or nursing
