Begin 2025 with daily devotions, focused prayer,
and practical application.
Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him,
“Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.”
Luke 11:1 ESV
Notice the example of Jesus’ prayer. He prayed in a specific place. One can pray anywhere and everywhere, but Jesus chose his spots to pray carefully. He preferred quiet, solitary places away from the crowds and noise. We would be wise to do the same.
He also finished his prayer time. He did not pray all day or all the time. No, Jesus prayed, got up, and lived out His prayers. We don't know how long He prayed, but we do know He prayed until He finished. Follow His example, find a special place to pray, and pray until you finish.
We invite you to join us for twenty days of intercession and prayer to begin this New Year. Over the next three weeks, we will pray with one heart and voice to our heavenly Father, asking for His direction and help.
Follow Jesus’ example:
Pick a time.
Pick a place.
Pray specific prayers.
Pray until you are finished.
